Tosor Gorge is a high mountain gorge on the Terskey-Ata-Too Ridge, located on the southern shore of the Issyk-Kul Lake near the village of Tosor. The gorge is primarily known for its pass (3900 meters) leading to the Kichi-Naryn Valley and the Naryn Region. Through the gorge, it is possible to get to the Jyluu-Suu Hot Springs and Lake Teshik-Kul. This is the only high mountain pass with a car road on the southern shore of Issyk-Kul. The gorge is very popular among off-road drivers and cyclists.
The gorge has a very interesting relief: at the beginning, it narrows sharply and in some places, the road is very close to the river. This part of Tosor is full of sea buckthorn and other green vegetation. This picturesque view lasts about 5 kilometers after the gorge emerges into a wide mountain valley through a rock gate. From this place there are three roads. The road to the right leads to the village of Bokonbaevo along a beautiful mountain road, past the village of Kadzhi-Saz and a small pass. The road to the left is very short and leads to local forestry. The road straight goes up to the pass. At an altitude of about 3000 meters, there is another turn leading to the neighboring Tamga Gorge. Through Tosor Groge, there are many tourist routes. This is a good place for one-day walks and picnics.
