Pobeda Park named after Dair Asanov (also “Yuzhnie Vorota”) is a park in the southern part of the city, one of the calmest places in Bishkek.
Pobeda Park was founded in 1981 and bears the name of the hero of the World War II, artilleryman Dair Asanov. The park is remarkable for the large territory – more than 35 hectares, planted with a lot of trees: ash trees, poplars, spruce, pines, etc. with benches and a bicycle road.
There are several sights: a monument dedicated to the glory of the heroes of the Batken events, a linden alley dedicated to the Kyrgyz border guards and employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, as well as a monument to the victims of the Leningrad Blockade.
